The tourism industry could be a rising sector in the economy of Bangladesh. But why in backward?

Are you in trouble? Are you upset? Keep an eye on the tourism industry. Much can be attributed to unknown, from which mind could be filled with joy. Along with the economic development of the country, people will be entertained.

 

But have we done it really? Unfortunately, despite of having enormous potential source in this sector,it has not led to the development like other county.

But it's time for change and we should take tourism as a partner, it will help you to change.

Let’s take a look, why we can’t? 

• Budget crisis in the tourism industry.

• Lack of security in tourist area.

• Underdeveloped transportation system discourages tourists.

• Robbery and terrorism in the tourist area discourages tourists.

• We're wasting the beauty of tourist area with garbage and waste materials.

• As a result of deforestation, animals became almost vanished. That’s why the tourism industry is falling behind. 

Due to the lack of English-speaking people in the country, foreigners cannot walk in comfort. Though there is some renowned hotel in city centric area, but it is rare in tourism area. That discourages tourists.

• Tourists do not feel safe in this country due to the law and order situation in the country.

• Although there is clean water in the world’s attractive beach but in cox’s-bazar water is wasted by industrial toxic.

• The consequence of the ongoing political unrest is hampering the tourism industry.

• The lack of sufficient information about the tourism industry in online.

• The Bangladesh government budgets are low in this sector. And whatever is not being fulfilled due to corruption.

• Some are being destroyed due to lack of trained personnel responsible for tourism industry.

       • In Dhaka division Ahsan monzil, Dhakeshwari temple, Hatirzil, Sohrawardy Uddyan, Dhanmondi lake, Rabindra Sarovar, Novo theatre, Fantasy Kingdom, Sonargaon, Panam Nagar, Mary Anderson(the floating restaurant) Bangabandhu Bridge, Jamuna Resort etc.

       • In Chittagong division Sitakundo, Twelve Mazar of Sufi, Kaibalyadham, Patenga beach, Foy's Lake, Sandeep etc.

       • In Sylhet division Jaflong, Bichanakandi, Tamabil, Lalakhala, Malanichara tea estate, Lakkatura tea estate, Rataragula, Zechariah City, The tomb of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and Hazrat Shahporan etc.

        • In Rajshahi division Mohasthangor(in bogra),Tatibond Zamindar Bari(in pabna),Nandail Dighi(in Joypurhat),Paharpur (in Naogaon), Buddhist, Haluda bihar, Alta lakes etc.

There are also a lot of unknown beautiful places. Moreover, in my opinion, landscape and heritage, including in rural Bengal can attract tourists mind.

So on the one hand, we are able to entertain tourists by the beauty of these places and the other hand we will able to earn a lot of foreign currency, which will play an important role in the development of our country. The income from the tourism sector in 1999 was 45 crores and 19 lakh’s and the increasing amount of income in 2008 was 612 crores 45 lakh’s 20 thousands. And it increased in 2013,the amount of income was 949 crores and 56 lakh’s. From 2010 to 2014 the income was 4,178 crore and 71 lakh's. And in the month of May of the financial year of 2015-2016 the income was 7143.62 lakh's taka.

 While the income increases day by day then why we can’t take the tourism industry seriously?

 We should keep safe that tourism sight from destroying and that’s all our duty. Govt. & non govt. people who are all working in tourism sights must work together for the development of tourism industry. We should keep up those tourism sights to the world. For these, there need to initiative by both govt. and non govt. and hard work by the people who are related to tourism industry. All of our strong initiative can earn foreign currencies using tourism industries and thus it helps the prosperity of our economy.
